Welcome to the NABP.

About us.

Natasha Shildrick is a highly experienced and respected artist in the permanent makeup industry. She is also a successful PMU trainer, operating her own training academy, ‘Nanno,’ in South Yorkshire. Natasha specialises in natural, realistic hairstroke brows and has developed her own trademarked brow style—Nanno™ Brows.

Ruby Fox spent ten years as a primary school teacher before making a complete career change to enter the world of PMU. She was, in fact, Natasha’s very first beginner student. After initially training in Nanno™ Brows, Ruby expanded her skills by adding Lip Blush to her treatment menu. She has since furthered her expertise as a laser removal technician, specialising in the safe and effective removal of permanent makeup. Ruby now works in the clinic department at Nanno, collaborating closely with Natasha.

Through countless conversations and real-life testimonials, the NABP was born. Both Natasha and Ruby are deeply passionate about effecting positive change within the industry. As artists who take pride in their work and are committed to maintaining the reputation and value of the field, they are wholeheartedly dedicated to this cause.

Why are we driving this change?

The fact that the permanent makeup industry is currently unregulated is a concerning reality. Many artists with extensive experience in the field can recall a time when a permanent makeup treatment from a highly trained professional would cost between £500 and £700. However, due to an oversaturation of the market with artists who have received inadequate training—or, more alarmingly, no training at all—we are witnessing a devaluation of our services, which is something we cannot allow to continue.

We fully understand and appreciate that most of you reading this are exceptional artists who take pride in your work and operate both safely and effectively. You may wonder why it is necessary to hold our badge to validate your expertise. Allow us to explain further.

We aim to build a community of dedicated, passionate artists who are eager to unite in making lasting, positive changes within our industry. The more artists who join us, the stronger our collective voice will become. As the NABP expands, the public—our potential clients—will begin to seek out our badge when choosing an artist, knowing that they are in safe hands regarding their health and safety. With your support, we plan to advocate for our industry with councils, insurers, and the government, urging them to take our field seriously and implement necessary regulations. This will enhance the reputation and value of our industry and help eliminate artists who do not adhere to safe practices, thereby preventing catastrophic issues for their unfortunate clients.
